Student Spotlight: Dylan Hoch and Keegan Kiedaisch are 10th graders at Sunlake High School. They both helped their community before and after Hurricane Irma. Learn more. What did you do before and after Hurricane Irma? Dylan and Keegan: Before Hurricane Irma, we had 9 yards of sand delivered to my house and we bagged it all up and delivered over 300 bags. After Irma, we cut up trees, hauled away fences, cleaned up yards and got rid of some of the sand bags. Why did you help your community? Dylan: I helped my community because I've always felt that if you do something good, something good will come in return. I've always been the guy to help out anyone in anyway I can. I would give my shirt off my back for anyone. Keegan: We helped our community because we saw no one is really eligible or can't pick up some of the mess all by themselves so we gave the community our hand to help. What would you like to tell other students about helping the community? Dylan: I would like to tell other students to get out there and help others in anyway they can. You don't realize how helpful and what a great impact you can have on someone. Keegan: What we would like to say is always help people when they need it. Good things will come from the good things you give. Enjoy every minute doing something positive because it won't only help the people you're helping but it helps you have a positive mindset.
