Know the Lingo

Students are evaluated on punctuality and preparedness.

Some or all of these may be announced for events:

Call Time = arrival time (in the band room by this time)

Start Time = rehearsal begins (students prepared and in place).

End time = rehearsal is scheduled to end – this is NOT pick-up time.

Pick-up time = students should be at the door, ready for pick up.

NOTE: Before dismissal, all students are expected to ensure that the field, band room, buses, etc. are clean, and all instruments and equipment are put away.

Remember! The Difference Between PRACTICE & REHEARSAL

PRACTICE is what you do on your own.

REHEARSAL is what you do with the rest of the band or ensemble.

You need to PRACTICE before you REHEARSE.

PRACTICE your fundamentals and your parts…then you will be ready to REHEARSE with the other performers!
