These are the major events for the second semester of 2018 for the senior class. More dates and events will be added as they become available.

  • Cap and gowns need to be ordered ASAP.
    • A late fee of $25 will be added to the purchasing cost after January 31st .
    • Please order online (herffjones.com) The link is available via the SLHS website, under the student tab.
    • The last day to order for school delivery is March 30th.

February

  • Monday, February 12th
    • Prom Guest Forms and Contracts are available.
      • Forms are available in 3-161, or on the junior class bulletin board in 3 left commons.
  • Monday, February 19th
    • Senior letters will be accepted in 4-105A, Ms. Eshkov.
      • Make sure the First and Last name of student is on the letter.

March

  • Friday, March 2nd :
    • Prom Guest Forms and Contracts are due.
      • Please turn forms in to Ms. Camper (3-161).
      • No late guest forms or contracts will be accepted for ANY reason.
  • March 5th March 30th
    • Prom Tickets will be on sale before school, 6th lunch, 7th period and after school (see chart on flyer).
      • Purchase your tickets from Ms. Camper or Mrs. Black for $80.
      • Must have signed prom contract and social host law form to purchase prom ticket.
      • No tickets will be sold past March 30, 2018 for ANY reason.
  • Wednesday, March 14th:
    • Graduation announcemt delivery will take place in the cafeteria school store, during all lunches.
  • Friday, March 16th:
    • Teacher Planning Day: No School
  • Monday, March 19th– Friday, March 23rd:
    • Spring Break: No School

April

  • Saturday, April 7th:
    • Junior and Senior Prom
      • 7:00 PM-11:00 PM
      • Location: Bryan Glazer Family JCC
  • Friday, April 13th:
    • Grad Bash @ Universal Studios
    • Buses depart @ 1:30 PM. Those attending must arrive by 12:45 PM.
    • Students must attend all classes in order to attend.
  • Monday, April 16th:
    • Senior checkout forms distributed
      • Students have one week to get all necessary signatures to be cleared for graduation.
  • Wednesday, April 18th :
    • Cap and Gown distribution will take place in the cafeteria school store, during all lunches.
  • Friday, April 20th :
    • Senior checkout forms due
      • All students must turn a form in to be cleared to graduate.
    • Final transcript request forms need to be turned in to Mrs. Garcia in Guidance.
  • Friday, April 20th:
    • Online class DBAs are due
  • Friday, April 27th :
    • All work and exams must be complete for online classes.
  • Monday April 30th – Friday May 4th:
    • Tentative non AP exams

May

  • Friday, May 4th:
    • Last day to accept Senior letters in room 4-105A, Ms. Eshkov
  • Monday, May 7th – Friday May 18th
    • AP testing window
  • Monday, May 21st:
    • Graduation rehearsal
      • Rehearsal is from 8:00-10:30 am (DO NOT BE LATE) in the gym.
        • You must be present for both days and for the entire time to walk at graduation
        • School dress code will be enforced.
  • Tuesday, May 22nd:
    • Graduation DRESS rehearsal
      • Rehearsal is from 8:00-10:30 am (DO NOT BE LATE) in the gym.
      • You must be present for both days and for the entire time to walk at graduation.
        • Please wear your cap, gown and your honors distinctions.
          • All cap decorations must be approved by Ms. Eshkov or Mrs. Boudreau by May 18th
        • If you are buying graduation pictures, please bring your forms and money with you.
  • Tuesday, May 22nd:
    • Seahawk Success Night 6 pm in the gym
      • Scholarships and awards presentation by grade level
  • Wednesday, May 23rd:
    • Senior Brunch
      • Senior Brunch is open to ALL SENIORS WHO ARE GRADUATING
      • No parents are able to attend this event.
      • Bethany Center- 18150 Bethany Center Drive, Lutz, FL at 9:00 am (directions below).
      • It is very important that the students arrive on time, as we have a full schedule in a limited time frame.
      • This is a residential neighborhood, please obide by the speed zones. There will be law enforecement present.
      • Students must be in business casual attire and within dress code- NO JEANS.
        • Boys must be in dress shoes, dress pants or khakis, and collared shirts or shirts and ties.
        • Girls must be in skirts with appropriate blouses (no sheer) and dresses of appropriate length (no strapless or thin strapped dresses are allowed) or in pant suits.
  • Sunday, May 27th:
    • Graduation @ USF Sun Dome
      • Graduation will start at 2 pm.
      • Students must arrive one hour prior to graduation.
        • It is imperative that students are not late.
      • Specific locations for drop-off/pick-up and parking will be distributed in the end-of-year senior letter.
