Juniors will have several testing opportunities in February and March. Information about each test is located below.

SAT School Day: ALL JUNIORS WILL BE SCHEDULED.

This year, the DSBPC is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity we are providing to all juniors this spring.  All juniors will have the opportunity to take the SAT on March 1, 2023 during the regular school day. This test is being offered at no cost to students. “The SAT is a standardized college entrance exam that is accepted by every college in the U.S. and over 600 institutions internationally.

Typically, the test is only offered on weekends, but we are providing this opportunity during the school day so that your child will be comfortable by testing in a familiar place and so that parents and students are free from the burden of arranging transportation to the testing site. The SAT is a paper-based test that must be administered by trained test administrators, so the test can only be administered on site at campus.

The SAT scores are often used for college entry, but the scores can also be used for concordant scores for Florida state testing requirements. For more information about state testing requirements and concordant scores, please visit https://www.fldoe.org/core/fileparse.php/7764/urlt/gradrequirefsa.pdf

You may visit https://sat.collegeboard.org/practice for more information, including practice tests and sample questions. If you would like information on SAT approved calculators, please visit https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/what-to-bring-do/calculator-policy for more information.

This is a great opportunity for our students and we are pleased to be able to offer it at no cost to all juniors.  If you would prefer your student not participate in this event, please notify Sandee Ragusa at sragusa@pasco.k12.fl.us.

ACT Non College Reportable: ONLY JUNIORS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE FORM WILL BE SCHEDULED.

If you have a junior who has NOT met the FSA ELA and/or Algebra 1 EOC testing graduation requirement, your student will have the opportunity to participate in the ACT Non-College Reporting test. This test will be administered over 3 days, beginning March 7 and students will only be required to sit for the sections of the test that they need to meet their concordant score.  This test cannot be used for college entrance or scholarship purposes; the sole purpose will be to meet the testing requirements for graduation.

State Assessments – FSA ELA and FSA Algebra 1 EOC: ONLY JUNIORS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE FORM WILL BE SCHEDULED.

Juniors who have not met the testing requirements may also retake the FSA ELA on February 20, 21 and 22 (all three days are required) and/or the FSA Algebra 1 EOC on February 23 and 24 (both days are required).

If you would like your student to participate in the ACT and/or the FSA tests, please complete the online form below by Friday, February 10. http://slhs.pasco.k12.fl.us/mform/view.php?id=121484
