In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on campus. Access the Visitor Screener or the Student Screener online. Employees should use the Employee Self-Screener.

Parents, the following information was sent home via Connect calls. If you are not receiving these phone calls from Sunlake, please check that the contact information we have for you in myStudent is correct.

State testing begins next week and continues for the remainder of the school year.  All state testing is completed here at Sunlake High School and virtual testing is not an option provided by the state.  Students currently enrolled in the following classes will be taking State Assessments in May:

  • English 1 and English 1 Honors
  • English 2 and English 2 Honors
  • Geometry and Geometry Honors
  • Algebra 1
  • Biology and Biology Honors
  • US History and US History Honors

Students should check the May Testing rosters posted in myLearning under Announcements to see the dates, times and locations for their tests. The teachers of these classes have also been given the testing rosters. Unfortunately, the large numbers of students participating in testing creates a situation where changes to these schedules cannot be made unless there are rare and extenuating circumstances or where there is a conflict with an Advanced Placement Exam.   Any request for changes must be approved by Ms. Merlin.

Due to the limited number of days to complete these assessments, there will be no make up dates offered in May. However, there will be opportunities to take missed tests this summer and in the fall.
