Directors and Staff

Sebastian Perdomo serves as the Director of Bands at Sunlake High School, where he leads the Beginning Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Chorus. Since joining the school in 2023, Mr. Perdomo has worked to foster a culture of excellence and creativity within the Sunlake Soaring Sound program. Under his guidance, the band has achieved significant milestones, including 1st place at the 2024 FFCC State Championships, 1st place in their class at the Tarpon Springs competition (outperforming bands in higher classes and earning 3rd overall), and 1st place at FFCC Gaither. The program has also been recognized by the Mayor of Tampa and featured in local news and TV segments.

 

A Tampa, FL native, Mr. Perdomo holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of South Florida. Before his role at Sunlake, he served as the interim director at Wilson Middle School and contributed to the marching band programs at King HS, River Ridge HS, Newsome HS, and Plant HS. He also brings extensive Drum Corps International (DCI) experience, having performed with the Troopers, Boston Crusaders, and Blue Devils. While at USF, Mr. Perdomo performed with the Symphonic Band, Campus Band, and Wind Ensemble.
