Graduation Requirements

Students must successfully complete one of the following diploma options: 24-credit standard diploma, or 18-credit Academically Challenging Curriculum to Enhance Learning (ACCEL). Students will start on the 24-credit standard diploma option, but they can switch to the 18-credit ACCEL option at any time.

The 18-credit ACCEL option is intended for students who want to graduate a year early. This is made possible by reducing the number of elective credits from 8 to 3, as well as eliminating physical education. Students who are interested in switching to the 18-credit ACCEL option should make an appointment with their school counselor.

Note: World language is a not a graduation requirement; however, two credits of the same world language are required for admission to one of Florida’s 4-year public universities, and it is also a requirement for Florida’s Bright Futures scholarship.
